Special election: Markey, Livingstone win statewide and are Cambridge favorites

Cambridge Day -- Report on electoral victories for Edward Markey for U.S. Senate and Jay Livingstone for State Representative. "Jay Livingstone, who lives on Beacon Hill and has been working as an employment discrimination and criminal defense attorney and adjunct professor at Northeastern Law School, got 2,013 votes in Cambridge, or 97 percent (with the remaining 52 being write-ins), and 3,750 votes in Boston, or 93 percent (with the remaining 264 being write-ins), according to that city’s unofficial election results."
